I’ve been absent on this site for a while now. I have been busy setting up and focusing on content for my new creative outlet, Triplikid. Groper is all set to go and a small group of them are being created by the talented people at Mana Studios. I am really proud of him, and he came out exactly as I had hoped.
People can pre-order one now, and he will be shipping mid-november. More info and pictures can be found over at TRIPLIKID, or give OUR STORE a visit, and let us know what you think!!
I’ve been working on getting a site together for my new (and hopefully successful) line of designer toys. The first set will be rolled out one at a time, and if all goes well, there will be 4 in the first series.
It’s been a long road to get to this point, and I am excited to be on the verge of rolling the first one out! All proceeds will go back into making more cool stuff! Who doesn’t like cool stuff!?
They’ll be promoted under the name “Triplikid” and it should roll out in the next few weeks, so stay tuned!
There’s a tradition with the Ice Age movies that not many people know about, (or realize). At the end of every film, the kids of those who worked on it can draw a character from the film, and it gets placed somewhere within the credits. Usually it’s near the parent’s name. My Son’s drawing was found to the right of the animation department’s credits! Congrats, little man!
The toy I have designed is well into production, and I think it’s looking GREAT! “Groper”, the first Lanate in what will hopefully be a series of 4 is well on it’s way to completion. Here’s a sneak peek at the model so far!
My family and I were traveling this past week so I didn’t have more than 5 or 10 mins to this week’s blog submission. Here it is! Check them all out here: http://squeaklyblog.blogspot.com/
Working on this film has been amazing so far! I love the music choice they made in the teaser. We’re really looking forward to it coming out next year!!
And in the meantime, don’t forget to check out Ice Age: Continental Drift – July 13th!
Here are my submissions for the Squeakly blog. Not much time this weekend, and obviously not too serious.
A music video promoting Ice Age: Continental Drift. I haven’t had the opportunity to animate Scrat much, so it was great to have a couple shots with him at the end. (Caressing the Acorn with the ground splitting underneath him, and then popping up and eventually falling down the hole.)
This was spearheaded and choreographed by animator extraordinaire, Matt Munn with the help of a couple other animators here at Blue Sky. He came up with the dance, the song and animated the bulk of Sid’s dancing. It’s amazing how far Fox took it, and they got people all around the world dancing the Continental Drift, Hahah. Great job Matt!
